Manisha's uncanny resemblance to Nargis in the new poster of Sanju cannot be missed
Another poster of Sanju has been released today and it features Manisha Koirala as Nargis. The poster looks straight from the vintage black and white era and Manisha has a striking resemblance to the legendary actress. Revealing the poster, director Rajkumar Hirani wrote, “She lovingly called him #Sanju, and now that’s what we all do too! Watch the ever so wonderful Manisha Koirala as Nargisji on 29th June. @mkoirala #RanbirKapoor! #RajkumarHiraniFilms @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi” [sic] Now we know why the biopic is titled Sanju, that is what his mother lovingly called him as. Well we are speechless over how the characters from this biopic look so similar to the real life people in Sanjay Dutt’s life.
The poster also features Ranbir alongside Manisha against a backdrop of New York. This is perhaps from the time when Sanjay Dutt was working on Rocky, and Nargis was in New York undergoing treatment for cancer. Interestingly, this poster is released on Sunil Dutt’s birth anniversary.

It will be interesting to see Manisha Koirala alongside Paresh Rawal who plays Sunil Dutt in the film. We are already bowled over by Ranbir’s portrayal of Sanjay from what we got to see in the trailer and the songs so far. Rajkumar Hirani has a lot of credit to be given here. Recently, when Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor saw Ranbir Kapoor’s in the Sanju trailer, they were in awe to see him grow as an actor. “The way Rajkumar Hirani has presented Ranbir is the biggest superb thing, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on (wife) Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt,” Rishi had said. “You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod (Chopra) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt,” he added.
