Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s magnum opus, Padmaavati will hit the screens today but the movie reviews by critics are out already. While many are spellbound by Deepika’s mesmerizing look in the movie, others are awestruck by Ranveer’s menacing avatar and Shahid’s demeanour. As predicted, the movie turned out to be a visual delight and there’s nothing that can stop it from churning out big box office numbers. While the makers organised a special screening of the movie for the film critics in the industry, another one was held last night for the entire cast of the movie. The screening that took place late in the night was attended by Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ishaan Khatter, and his entire family. And trust us when we say, their happy pictures are like a treat for sore eyes.

Dressed in a pretty white Anarkali suit by Anamika Khanna, Deepika Padukone looked ravishing in her traditional avatar. Pairing her attire with white and golden statement earrings, juttis and hair tied in a sleek bun, DP managed to nail her simple avatar with her signature enviable aplomb. Ditto was the case with Ranveer Singh. Opting for traditional white kurta- pyjama, Ranveer looked dapper as he twinned with his lady luck, Deepika Padukone. Coming to another royal couple from the evening, Shahid – Mira, the duo sure knows how to make heads turn with their unspoken chemistry. Following Deepika and Ranveer’s footsteps by twinning in black, Shahid – Mira’s casual avatar won our hearts. The elite star cast was joined by Shahid’s family including Pankaj Kapoor, Neelima Azim, Supriya Pathak, Sanah Kapoor and the actor’s mother-in-law. 

Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh’s historical drama is all about the courage and valour of the Rajputs and the menace that Alauddin Khilji was as the Sultanate of Delhi. The makers and even the cast of the movie were under constant tension after the repeated threats of Rajput Karni Sena and the movie getting banned in various states including Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. But now that everything’s been sorted and there’s no way they can have anymore opposition, the stars finally had a sigh of relief. The content on their face was pretty evident and there’s nothing that can stop them from smiling now.
