The ‘Hellboy’ Trailer Arrives on Thursday
A new ‘motion poster’ for the upcoming reboot of Hellboy has been revealed.

The image, which you can see below, was shared by the film’s star, Stranger Things’ David Harbour, on his Instagram.
“Awwwww, crap… Look who’s coming in April,” Harbour said. “No, not the 50% still left of the Avengers – hell, that’s practically May…

“April 12th showers bring one Big Red Flower, beast of the apocalypse, The right hand of doom, the buttkicker of the BPRD, and a host of all kinds of big ole giants and witches and fairies and janky overgrown ugly pig monsters from your nightmares.”

He also revealed that the trailer for the much-hyped movie drops on Thursday.

It’s the second official image to be released from the project. In October, the first poster delighted fans when it was revealed.

Due for release on April 12, 2019, the modern reboot follows the initial launch of the comic book series with 2004’s Hellboy movie, which was followed by Hellboy II: The Golden Army in 2008.
Ron Perlman played the titular character in the initial movies from the franchise. The reboot will star David Harbour, Ian McShane and Milla Jovovich and is directed by Neil Marshall.

Earlier this year, Selma Blair admitted that she was ‘heartbroken’ about plans to move ahead with a Hellboy reboot rather than a sequel to the movies she was in.

The upcoming Hellboy has been controversial beyond the decision to make it a reboot, with British actor Ed Skrein originally cast as Major Ben Daimio, prompting a backlash for ‘whitewashing’ a character who was Japanese-American in the comics.
