Maari 2 is the sequel to the superhit Maari.
Not kidding… that’s exactly what Dhanush tweeted. He wrote, “And that’s a wrap for #maari2 .. loved being maari once again. Can’t wait to be maari again. A character I enjoy and cherish playing. #tharalocal #senjuruven thank you @directormbalaji @omdop @Sai_Pallavi92 @Actor_Krishna @ttovino @thisisysr Robo and Vinod.” It is pretty evident that he doesn’t want to retire the character at all and thus wants to go back to it. Isn’t that a hint enough for us to predict Maari 3?
Maari’s super success prompted a sequel for Dhanush and this time, he got a different composer to make tunes for the film. Rather than Anirudh Ravichander, Maari 2 will have compositions by Ilayiaraaja. The actor had tweeted about it saying, “So happy to announce that the maestro isaignani ilayaraja sir sang a song today for #maari2. What a delightful divine experience. We feel so blessed and super thrilled. @thisisysr @directormbalaji.” Clearly, he was super-thrilled to have him for the film. But then we heard Dhanush got hurt on the sets of the film which got his fans really worried. He then tweeted that he is doing fine so that his fans can feel relieved. However, Dhanush would do anything to go back being Maari. Check out his tweet again…
