Fanney Khan teaser out! A simple Anil Kapoor, glamorous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the narrator Rajkummar Rao are sure to leave you excited

The first teaser of Fanney Khan dropped today. The movie features Anil Kapoor as the titular character or as the narrator of the teaser says, “someone who changed the story of Fanney Khan.” From the brief glimpse, the movie looks like a rags-to-riches story of the titular character, with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao playing their parts in this story.

The first teaser lives up to the ‘teaser’ tag and doesn’t reveal much. It only introduces us to four primary characters of the movie with a narration by Rajkummar. We see the uber-glamorous Aishwarya, who is playing a singer in the film. She rehearsed with Beyonce’s choreographer for her dance number in the movie. Then there is Rajkummar, who is playing Aish’s love interest, and looks like a simple guy-next-door in the footage. He doesn’t share screen space with the actress in the short teaser but we are looking forward to the trailer already. And finally, man of the hour, Anil. He plays a simpleton who seems to be a taxi driver by day and a dreamer by night. 

There is a stunning visual of the actor playing the trumpet on a rooftop with a lavish city’s skyline in the backdrop. That one scene perfectly sums up the vibe of the film.

Fanney Khan has been directed by Atul Manjrekar. The movie is an official remake of the Dutch comedy Everybody’s Famous. Now, only the film’s release will tell us how much Fanney Khan has swerved away from the source material.
