What! 37 cars and 5 trucks crashed for real for an action sequence in Prabhas’ Saaho

Saaho is Prabhas' next film after Baahubali.

We have seen countless action movies down south but Prabhas‘ Saaho promises to be one of a kind! The Baahubali star is currently shooting in full swing in UAE for one of the crucial action sequences in the film. As per reports on Hindustan Times, at least Rs 90 crore have been spent on this sequence alone. Luxury cars have been used for this sequence. Above all, international stunt choreographer, Kenny Bates will be supervising the sequence! Clearly, Saaho is turning to be a grand mega budget film! But here’s the unbelievable part. 

37 cars and five trucks have crashed to give the sequence a realistic feel because CGI would dilute the effect! “We had a plan and we went to action director Kenny Bates two years back. Kenny came to Abu Dhabi for recce and he loved the location. He wanted to shoot everything live. Almost 90% of whatever that we are going to show on screen is real. He wanted to show the real cars. He wanted the real cars to fly. We crashed around 27 cars and five trucks. We wanted everything real instead of going for CGI as it gives a real impact. Generally, you have 70% CG and 30% real but over here in Abu Dhabi, we opted for a more real shoot. This will be something that no one has seen before,” Prabhas was quoted as per reports on Khaleej Times!  Saaho is surely a step ahead of Baahubali as it resorts to a realistic feel.

The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. Prabhas and Shraddha are teaming up for the first time. The film will also star Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff. Saaho is one of the most anticipated films since it is Prabhas’ first film after Baahubali. He will be seen in a completely different avatar.
