Suniel Shetty: Nobody else would do a better job at playing Sanjay Dutt than Ranbir Kapoor

I saw Ranbir’s pictures and he looks exactly like Sanjay, says Suniel Shetty.

Suniel Shetty has been a fan favourite since the ’90s. Who would not love to see a movie based on his life? Well, all those who want to see that happening will be disappointed to know that the actor has said that he doesn’t think his life is worthy of a biopic. At an event recently, he was asked by the media whether we will see a movie about his life just like the one we are about to see about Sanjay Dutt’s life. He quickly moved away from the first part of the question and talked about the Dutt biopic instead.

“I don’t think it’s worthy,” Suniel said, talking about his biopic. But he added, “Sanjay’s biopic is happening and I think nobody else would do a better job at playing Sanjay than Ranbir. I saw Ranbir’s pictures and he looks exactly like Sanjay.” Coming from a person like Suniel, this compliment must mean a lot to Ranbir. From the leaked pictures, we also think that Ranbir, in this untitled film, has an uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Dutt. 

The biopic is being directed by one of Sanjay’s closest friends, Raj Kumar Hirani. They have worked together in films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, PK. The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Karishma Tanna, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh in key roles. 

Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty have worked together in many films. They have starred together in movies like Kaante, LOC Kargil, Dus, Tango Charlie and also in movies from the other end of the spectrum like Rakht and Rudraksh.
