Deepika Padukone: Today I can see myself as a working wife or mother

Deepika talks about working after marriage

It’s been over 5 years since Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been in a steady relationship. Although both of them haven’t come out in the open to address each other as their significant others, but there’s enough evidence to prove what they mean to each other. In fact there have been rumours that Deepika and Ranveer are ready to take it to the next level as they will tie the knot this year. Of course, there has been no official announcement, but Deepika, it seems is ready for it. In an interview with Film Companion, when Deepika was asked about working after marriage, she said, “It’s too much a part of my life for me to say I can walk away from it. But I think that home, family, parents, marriage is very important for me. Today I can see my self as a working wife or mother. I think I’d drive every body around me mad if I didn’t work.”

Coming back to the wedding rumours, a source told Mumbai Mirror, “Ranveer, Deepika and their families have short-listed four auspicious dates between September and December for a year-end wedding, after which prep has kicked into overdrive with the Bhavnanis and Padukones scouting for wedding venues in India and abroad before locking the final date. With younger sister Anisha and their mother, Deepika has already started her bridal trousseau shopping as well as finalising her jewellery. It will be an extremely private, traditional Hindu ceremony with the couple tying the knot in the presence of only close friends and family. The couple is still deciding if they want a reception to follow.” 

However, their fans have refused to believe the wedding talk until and unless both Deepika and Ranveer make an announcement. Fair enough.
