Robert Downey Jr and Marvel Studios’ Twitter banter leads to change in Avengers: Infinity War release date

Marvel announced that they are shifting the release date of the film from May 30 to April 27.

Here is some good news for the world. Millions are waiting eagerly  to book their tickets to the upcoming entry in the MCU, Avengers: Infinity War. We will finally get to see the battle that has been cooking for 10 years through 18 films. The release date of the ensemble was announced to be May 30. But, turns out, Robert Downey Jr is also just as impatient as the rest of the fans of MCU. Well, at least that is how Marvel Studios’ wants present it as.

Marvel Studios and Robert got into a well-strategised Twitter banter, where the actor argued that wanted to watch the film with his friends before the release date. Marvel bosses agreed. Then the actor further demanded that the world should get to see the film with him and in a happy surprise Marvel announced that they are shifting the release date of the film from March 30 to April 27. Yes, fans will get to see AIW a week earlier now.

It hardly is any good news for fans of the movies in India as the movie was anyway scheduled to release here a week before its worldwide release. We wonder if the Indian release date will also be shifted a week prior to announced one.

The evil mastermind plans to put an end to the universe and looks like he is going to succeed. But will the team be able to save the universe from destruction? That’s something to wait and watch. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Tom Hiddleston, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, amongst others.
