Great news for movie lovers!
After Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has proved herself as one of the best story-tellers around. Well, news is the lady is teaming up with Ekta Kapoor for a couple of projects. One of them will be directed by Tiwari herself. This was announced by the TV czarina today on Twitter. She also posted a picture where the two ladies were all smiles. Dressed in a purple outfit with slippers, Ashwiny looked rather vibrant while Ekta is shown sitting besides her in a dress. Ekta also wrote that when two creative woman come together, there is magic.

Ashwiny has won the Best Director Filmfare Award for Barielly Ki Barfi as well. She worked for 15 years in Leo Burnett before plunging into film-making. Ashwiny is the better half of writer – director Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame. Ekta’s upcoming projects include Kedarnath starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan as well as Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Sumeet Vyas in lead roles. We know that Ekta is at the forefront of backing talent. The lady gave huge support to Alankrita Shrivastava’s Lipstick Under My Burkha. She is also doing another project with her. She said in a statement, “Alankrita’s style of filmmaking is bold, entertaining and asks all the right questions to our society.
