Karthi's next film with national award-winning director Pandiraj has been titled Kadaikutty Singam

Actor Karthi has been striding with a commendable phase of getting through awe-inspiring projects. He experimented with new-fangled themes through Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ and Vinoth’s ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ last year. While the former sank at the box office without any trace, the latter fetched a lot of commercials as well as critical acclaim from across the board.

Now, his next film with national award-winning director Pandiraj has been titled Kadaikutty Singam. The movie has Sayyeshaa who made her debut in Vanamagan with a lovely performance as the lead heroine. The movie is produced by Karthi’s brother Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment, which is known for choosing quality films.

On the harvest festival of Pongal, the first look poster ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ featuring Karthi was unveiled. He was seen sporting a long handle-bar moustache to suit the film’s milieu. The first look and new avatar of Karthi assure that a decent entertainer is on the way from Pandiraj. The tagline ‘Payir Seiyya Virumbu’ meaning ‘Have Desire to Practice Farming,’ and name ‘Vivasaayi’ (FARMER) on the number plate affirms that the film is going to emphasize on this subject.

Sathyaraj, Soori, Sriman, Priya Bhavani Shankar of Meyaadha Maan fame, Bhanupriya, who was lastly seen in Jyotika’s Magalir Mattum and Mounika are part of the film. D Imman is composing music for this film and Velraj is handling cinematography. The shooting is happening in full swing, and the film is scheduled for release in summer 2018.
