KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green has lined up an array of launches tomorrow. In a first-of-its-kind event, Studio Green has scheduled the success meet of Suriya – Vignesh Shivan’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Anushka Shetty’s Bhaagamathie at the same time and venue tomorrow. Besides TSK and Bhaagamathie, the single tracks from Arya, Sayyessha’s Ghajinikanth and Gautham Karthik’s Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kutthu will also be launched the grand occasion tomorrow. The roadblock of events will also mark the presence of all the stars from tomorrow noon to night at the same venue.
Thaanaa Serndha Koottam has opened well at the box office in both Tamil Nadu and overseas markets. The Telugu version Gang, which released alongside Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi, is riding on positive reviews from the Telugu media. In foreign markets, the film has been performing decently and has emerged as Suriya’s second-best overseas opening weekend after Vikram Kumar’s sci-fi film 24 which starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the lead heroine and had music by AR Rahman.
Studio Green is presenting Anushka Shetty’s modern-day thriller Bhaagamathie in Tamil Nadu with Abi and Abi Pictures playing an important role in theatrical distribution. The movie is releasing alongside Jayam Ravi’s space thriller Tik Tik Tik directed by Shakti Rajan and Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Nimir, an official remake of national award-winning Malayalam film Maheshinten Prathikaram, directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan.
Studio Green’s other two projects Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu and Ghajinikanth are being directed by Santhosh Jayakumar who made his directorial debut with the adult comedy Hara Hara Mahadevaki which starred Gautham Karthik and Nikki Galrani as leads.
