Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai will dominate new releases at the box office
Today three Bollywood films – Saif Ali Khan‘s Kaalakaandi, Zareen Khan‘s 1921 and Vineet Kumar Singh’s Mukkabaaz at the box office. Unfortunately, all these films received a dull response at the ticket window. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel shared the occupancy report on his twitter account, “#1921Movie #Kaalakaandi & #Mukkabaaz al three film opened with 7-8 % occupancy in the early morning shows across India. All need to show superlative growth or else first day collection of each films will be extremely low.”
Talking about Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi, which belongs to black comedy genre had impressed the audience with its trailer but due to its limited appeal, which mostly caters to multiplex audience, the film has opened low at the box office. Since the film has got decent reviews, we expect to witness a considerable growth in the noon and night shows. Coming to Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz, the sports drama stars talented actors like Jimmy Sheirgill, Ravi Kishan and Vineet Kumar Singh in lead roles. Despite receiving positive reviews, the film didn’t open well at the ticket windows and the absence of big stars might be one of the reasons. The film is expected to show good growth in the later shows and over the weekend because of positive word of mouth.
Director Vikram Bhatt’s horror film 1921, which stars Zareen Khan and Karan Kundrra in lead roles is the fourth installment of the 1920 franchise. Despite having a franchise film, it opened to a low response due to low buzz and the average music compare to its previous parts. Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai, which has completed three weeks in the theatres, is still dominating at the box office.
