We can't waIt for this film to go on floors.

Simbu has started attending the acting workshop for Mani Ratnam‘s multi-starrer film, which will begin rolling from January 2018. STR was caught in the eye of a storm when the recent controversy between producer Michael Rayappan and him escalated quickly in the industry. Bigwigs from K’town united to stop him from acting in Mani Ratnam’s film before providing compensation to Rayappan who produced Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan. Rayappan lashed out at Simbu for his unprofessional conduct and non-committal attitude in a four-page statement a few weeks back.

However, Simbu apologised to Michael Rayappan at the audio launch of Santhanam’s Sakka Podu Podu Raja held recently. He said he was at fault and requested people from the film fraternity to forgive his mistakes. Simbu had said, “If so many people accuse me of something, I realise that I’m surely at fault. I do agree that I have made mistakes. We wanted to make AAA as a single movie. But because of the sudden overshoot of budget, we decided to make the film as two parts, and that did not augur well for the makers. I know that the film failed at the box office.”

Produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, the multi-starrer movie stars Fahadh Faasil, Arvind Swami, Jyotika, Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing an extended cameo in the film which will have music composed by AR Rahman.
