The Mersal Team Are Having A Blast The Success Party.
Diwali 2017 saw its biggest release till date in the form of THALAPATHY VIJAY’s Mersal. The movie that was already a rage prior to its release despite controversies, became an even bigger sensation post its release. While the controversies continued to unfurl on one hand, the film created a furore at the box office on other hand. On its first day itself, the film got off to record breaking start and continued to keep up momentum in the coming weeks. The film has officially grossed Rs 200 crore at the box office worldwide. The movie has created impressive records at Malaysia, France, UAE and North America. It’s the fourth movie after Raees, Baahubali and Dangal to achieve the $10million mark. It’s now wonder, the Mersal team is now celebrating its grand success.
A picture form a party organised by the man himself Thalapathy Vijay has been doing the rounds. Reuben, Ar Rahman, SJ Suryah, Atlee were part of the celebrations. Everyone looks happy for obvious reasons. Mersal might just be one fo the highest grossers of 2017. With Telugu release all set to hit theatres next week, we might be looking at new records set by the movie.
Mersal marks Atlee and Vijay’s second collaboration. Interestingly, their first film together, Theri was also one fo Vijay’s highest grossers. Seems like this director-actor combo have the midas when it comes to films. And if things come together, Atlee has revealed they might collaborated yet again for another film! As of now the duo are revelling in the success.
The movie follows the story fo two brothers who are to take action against the malpractices in the medical industry. The film stars Vijay in a triple role. The movie also includes Nithya Menen, Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The music was composed by AR Rahman.
