Kamal Haasan and Rajiniaknth congratulate each other on their epic win.
Since 30 years, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth have been dispelling the famous old myth – Superstars can’t be friends. At every occasion they meet, they reaffirm the warm camaraderie they have shared for all these years. Last evening yet again, we saw their warm friendship at play when the Nandi Awards for 2014- 16 were announced. Both stars won the Prestigious NTR National Award, kamal haasan for 2014 and Rajinikanth for 2016. Soon after Kamal Haasan took to social media to congratulate his friend-co-star along with thanking the government for bestowing this honour – Congratulations,

It’s always humbling to see two stalwarts of an industry get along even after forty years.
Interestingly, both have hinted at their entry in politics but only Kamal Haasan has confirmed the same. Rajinikanth currently is wrapping up his next with Pa Ranjith – Kaala Kalikaaran and is also preparing for 2.0’s release. The first one will have Thaliava play a Tamil gangster, while the latter will have Rajinikanth return to his role as Chitti and Dr Vaseegaran. As for Kamal Haasan, he has been busy prepping for his political run. Simultaneously, he is also readying Vishwaroopam 2 for release. The trailer was to be out on his birthday but the plans were called off owing to the extreme weather situation in Tamil Nadu.
