Will Golmaal Again Enter In Rs 200 Crore Club?
Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again continues to break many records at the box office. Even on the weekdays, the horror-comedy is pulling the audience to the cinema halls. The fourth installment of Golmaal franchise raked in Rs 10.05 crore and now stands with the grand total of Rs 126.94 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the official figures saying, “#GolmaalAgain Fri 30.14 cr, Sat 28.37 cr, Sun 29.09 cr, Mon 16.04 cr, Tue 13.25 cr, Wed 10.05 cr. Total: ₹ 126.94 cr. India biz.”
The film has received mixed reviews from the critics, but the audiences poured enough love to the film, which is evident with the box office numbers. Despite having competition from Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar, the film has clearly become public’s first choice. The film has already surpassed the lifetime business of biggies like Tubelight (Rs 119.26 crore), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Rs 116.68 crore) and Jolly LLB 2 (Rs 117 crore). It will cross the collection of Judwaa 2 (Rs 137.81 crores) and Raees (Rs 137.51 crore) by tomorrow to become the highest Bollywood grosser of 2017. Since the film has retained all its screens, we can expect Golmaal Again to add more moolah to its kitty.
Golmaal Again which features a huge star-cast comprising of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Parineeti Chopra and Tabu has become the most successful film in the Golmaal franchise. The comedy caper is on its way of becoming Ajay Devgn’s biggest grosser of all time. His current best is Singham Returns, which has collected Rs 140.62 crore in its theatrical run. The film is expected to cross the Rs 150 crore mark by its 2nd weekend, but will it enter in Rs 200 crore club? We will have to wait and watch.
