Arjun Kapoor Is Set To Play A 30 Year Old Cop In Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar - View His First Look From The Film Here!

After impressing one and all in Mubarakan, arjun kapoor is all set to star opposite parineeti chopra in Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. While we didn’t know much about the movie till now, looks like we have got some dope in our hands today. We can now confirm that Arjun will be playing a 30 year old police officer in the film, who is a part of Delhi Police’s special unit. Apparently, Arjun’s character – Satinder Dahiya wants a promotion so that he can play a crucial part in making the law enforcement agency more responsible. The first look of Arjun Kapoor from Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has also been released and we have to say he looks killer! His intense gaze shows off his tough cop avatar and we have to say we totally dig Arjun in a uniform. To get the look right, dibakar and Arjun went through an extensive, 10 day long research. Not only did they observe the police force in Delhi, but also closely interacted with them. As Arjun revealed to HT Cafe, “Dibakar wanted me to understand the world the character comes from. I also wanted to understand the character’s entire journey. I wanted to know his psychology and why he is the way he is, and why he makes certain extreme choices.” 

But the prep wasn’t easy. The intense training left Arjun dehydrated and exhausted at times. He totally agrees that being a cop is difficult, but the idea was to “understand the cop culture.” The actor attended cadet training, weapon handling, physical exercises and fitness training workshops for the part too. Apart from that he even spent a few hours every day with the families of several police officers. As Arjun added, “I got to meet so many fascinating people. Actually, I have been preparing almost for three months now. I am devoting more time for the prep than shooting it.
