deepika padukone fails to impress the fashion police with her look at the trailer launch
After leaving everyone stunned with one of the most awaited trailers this year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali decided to release the padmavati trailer in 3D now. While the leading actors ranveer singh and Shahid Kapoor gave the trailer launch a miss, DP ensured to be a part of it. Deepika’s stylist Shaleena Nathani shared the look on Instagram even before we got our hands on the pictures from the event. Deepika is seen wearing a black bodycon kurta by Sabyasachi with embroidery at the hem. The fit of it makes it look more like a corset than a kurta. Don’t you agree? The actress pairs this black attire with contrasting white leggings which has left us confused. To add on to the misery she paired her look with silver heels which contrast the golden embroidery. It literally looks like the top and bottom are parts of other outfits.
While overall Deepika manages to pull off this look thanks to the lovely sheer dupatta and the statement earrings which elevate this look, it fails to impress the fashion police. Deepika’s hairstyle too is something we have seen her sport for every other event and have grown bored of it. We really wish DP shifts away from the basics and shakes up things. The actress will be opting for the ethnic look for the promotions keeping the film’s theme in mind.
