We are eagerly waiting for Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film bhoomi. The movie is schedule to release on September 22. Yep, less than a month left for the D-day. Coming to the topic, Sanjay is an ardent believer of  Lord Ganesha. “We celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at my house. We worship him a lot,” the actor has said in an interview. So this year was no different, and Sanjay is hosting the Ganesha idol at his residence. Joining him and his wife Maanayata Dutt in the Ganeshotsav were his Bhoomi co-stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sidhant Gupta, Sharad Kelkar with his wife, and Shekhkar Suman.

Also, present there were Zarine Khan, Sophie Choudary, David Dhawan, Divya Khosla Kumar and Sanjay’s long time friend Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who attended the pooja with his family.

Also, Sanjay Dutt has also crooned a few lines for a Ganesh aarti, that features in the film. We are waiting to listen to this one. Yep, Sanjay has not only returned to acting but also to singing with Bhoomi. Who can forget his stylishly sung number Aye Shivani? When asked about the song, Sanjay had said, ““If you have seen the trailer, it starts with Jai Ganesh. It is also a very important part in the film. We all sat down and decided that we should make a song which depicts this main part of the film. The training is going on, right now I am learning how to sing the song. I am not a singer. The song has to be sung very beautifully, so I am trying my best to sound better. I am a bit nervous, but let’s see.”

Bhoomi is purported as the tale of a father and daughter relationship and the turmoils it has to go through when a calamity falls on the daughter. Sanjay Dutt will be reprising the persona of angry father that we had seen him in movies like Pitaah and Tathasthu. Bhoomi is directed by Omung Kumar, who previously made Mary Kom and Sarbjit.
