varun dhawan is probably the only young star in today’s time who has a record of 100 percent success ratio. He’s been a part of eight films so far and all eight of them have been successful at the box office of different magnitude. His next is Judwaa 2 and that too seems like a big success when it releases next month. However, in his filmography, if you take a look it was Badlapur that changed it all for him and looks like his upcoming film with Shoojit Sircar, October will be another landmark film for Varun Dhawan – “The Actor”.
Even though he has done a film like Badlapur, early in his career, Varun Dhawan seems like an odd choice for a director like Shoojit Sircar, who has made brilliant films like Madras Cafe, Vicky Donor, Yahaan, Piku etc, where on the other hand, Varun Dhawan’s career is more inclined towards comedies, be it romantic comedy or action comedy. So how did Shoojit Sircar thought of Varun Dhawan in his world of films? Well it was the other way round!
Yes according to our sources, it was Varun Dhawan who went to Shoojit Sircar and expressed his desire to work with him. Our source reveals that Varun Dhawan came to Shoojit Sircar’s and requested him to start a film with him. During that time Shoojit was already toying with the idea of October and decided to give Varun a go ahead, as he is well aware of his acting ability and vast range, thanks to Badlapur, ABCD 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and other films.
Talking about October, Shoojit had said, “It’s again an out-of-the-box kind of story. we started working on this film’s idea, which came from a small newspaper clipping, right before Piku (2015).” He further described it as “a very unusual, unconventional kind of a story” in the “slice-of-life and romance space”
