Regional filmmaker SS Rajamouli became a force to reckon with nation-wide after his Baahubali: The Beginning broke box office records and raked in over Rs 600 crore worldwide. As the sequel, Baahubali 2, is set to release this year, the anticipation is sky-high.
Naturally, Bollywood is wooing the filmmaker and according to a Rajeev Masanf 's column in open Magazine, Bollywood is very much on Rajamouli's mind since he wants to tap into a larger audience. With Baahubali 2 currently in post-production, Rajamouli has his hands full, but a Hindi directorial debut may be on the cards soon.
Rajamouli is an admirer of Ranbir Kapoor's acting, but if he makes an "out-an-out commercial" film, Salman Khan would be his number one choice. With Salman Khan being the most bankable actor in Bollywood and SS Rajamouli being the most successful director down South, their combination is bound to demolish all existing box office records.
