Deepika Padukone has won hearts of many with her acting skills, but she has revealed that as a child she was more interested in sports. “In school I was always interested in extra-curricular activities. I did not enjoy studying as much as I used to like taking part in sports, drama and performing,” Deepika told reporters at Nickelodeon Kids’ Awards show here last night.
The Piku actress feels the children today are quite confident and talented. “I remember when we were kids we were not as confident (as kids of today) and did not have (so many) opportunities. Today kids have lot of opportunities and they are extremely confident. It’s nice to see their talent being appreciated,” she said
Meanwhile, Deepika is busy working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati in which she will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
Meanwhile, according to some reports, Deepika will be taking a break from the magnum opus to promote her first Hollywood project in which she shares the screen with Fast and Furious actor, Vin Diesel. Deepika does not want to miss on the marketing of her Hollywood debut in India or abroad.
She was earlier seen promoting the movie on the premiere episode of Salman Khan’s much talked about television reality show, Bigg Boss 10. She even released the special Indian trailer of xXx on the show. Instead of focussing on Vin Diesel who has a huge fan following across the world, the special trailer gives a glimpse into the daredevil avatar of Deepika.
