There’s less than a month for the release of Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Telugu), a biopic based on the life and times of Savitri, one of biggest actresses South Indian cinema has seen. The makers have started promotions in full throttle. They started with releasing posters of Madhuravani BA Gold Medal (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), Vijay Anthony (Vijay Deverakonda) and a Mahanati teaser that finally gave us a glimpse of Keerthy Suresh as Savitri and Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan. And now, the makers have come out with the first track of Mahanati, titled Mooga Manasulu (Mouna Mazhaiyilae from the Telugu version Nadigaiyar Thilagam).

The song is a love ballad starring the leads Keerthy and Dulquer who play colleagues-turned lovers-turned husband and wife and beautifully captures their chemistry. While this is just a lyrical, the pictures of the two adoringly looking at each other, brings to fore their love for each other and leaves you waiting to see more. The two ace stars make you forget that you are watching Dulquer and Keerthy and take you back in time when Savitri and Gemini were the biggest stars to rule the screens. The music is given by Mickey J Meyer on lyrics by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry and sis rendered in the soulful voices of Shreya Ghoshal and Anurag Kulkarni. The makers announced on Thursday that the song will be out today and here it finally is. Check out the song and revel in the golden period of the 70s-80s.
