The fourth edition of Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards was held today, April 21 at Andrews Auditorium in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Ranveer Singh Shahid Kapoor were felicitated for Padmaavat. Anushka Sharma received the award for her role as a producer for giving movies like Pari, NH 10, Pjillauri. On the other hand, Deepika Padukone and Kartik Aaryan also bagged the coveted award. While Rajkummar Rao was honoured with Best Actor Award for Newton, Tamannaah Bhatia got it for Baahubali series. Kriti Sanon bagged the award as the best actress for Bareilly Ki Barfi and Rani Mukerji has got a mention for her role in Hichki. Karan Johar wins best TV host for Koffee With Karan at Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence awards 2018. Apart from the Bollywood stars.

The event was a gala affair as the celebs dazzled in their stunning looks. Karan, as usual, stole the night looking dapper in the black suit with red rose carving. Shahid also looked attractive in the black ensemble. Karan accompanied with his wife Ankita Bhargava. Everyone looked fabulous and we couldn’t complain about anyone’s look.

Now wait a minute, these are not the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards you might be thinking of. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award, given by the Government of India, has been conferred days ago and Vinod Khanna was honoured this time, posthumously. As for the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award, those are given out by Mumbai-based Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation. Until last year, the awards were known as Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards.
