Now a film, Mission Mangal, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role has been made and it will not only explores the real life story that will make India proud, but it will also celebrate the efforts of women scientists who worked on this project
Also starring Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kriti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi, Mission Mangal will release in the same year as the launch of India’s second lunar exploration mission called Chandrayaan2
As ISRO is gearing up for Chandrayaan 2, which was recently called off due to technical error and will now be launched on July 22, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of Mission Mangal. And both of the parties are wishing each other good luck.
“As #ISRO prepares for landmark launch of #Chandrayaan2, #TeamISRO wishes @akshaykumar all the best for #MissionMangal and all his future endeavour,” ISRO’s Twitter handle read.
In response to this, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Thank you so much and wishing best of luck once again to #TeamISRO for #Chandrayaan2”.
In a statement released on Twitter, Akshay Kumar revealed why he thinks Mission Mangal is an important movie, and wrote, “For several years Hollywood has made movies and TV shows like Star Trek, Star Wars, Gravity, etc, this inspired an entire generation of inventors, scientists, and explorers. I have always wanted to be part of one such movie… A movie that inspires our future generations. One that celebrates imagination and curiosity. ‘Mission Mangal’ is that film for me, a film that I hope will inspire as much as it will entertain.”
