The Lion King's trailer is filled with AWW moments!
Disney has released a new trailer of its upcoming live action drama The Lion King. And it is filled with nostalgia, with the potential to make you weep. The trailer kickstarts with the tiny lion cub Simba entering the mysterious world, when his uncle Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor), threatens him, "Life is not far, is it my little friend."

We also get to see the scary uncle along with his team of hyenas. Soon, we are introduced to the jungle with picturesque shots. Simba's father Mufasa (James Earl Jones) teaches him the lessons of life and how delicately it is balanced, as the tiny cub experiences the new world (your cheeks will start hurting aww!). He also imparts the knowledge of what it takes to be a great king.

We witness the stampede sequence and then a shot where the cub tries to fill in his father's shoes and so many more. Soon Scar threatens Simba to run away and never return. Meanwhile, Simba meets Zazu (voiced by John Oliver), Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumba (Seth Rogen). And again we are treated with an iconic shot, that of the Timon, Pumba and Simba walking on the hill with the moon in the background. By the end of the trailer, Simba grows up and roars to become the Lion King. Finally, we see Timon and Pumba singing and dancing to famous song, 'In the jungle'.

In just a minute and a half long video, the makers take us through the journey of Simba swiftly and it takes us back to our golden days (trying hard to not cry!).
Here, watch it...
The trailer has been well received. "OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This looks so amazing!!! The CGI is spectacular and the voices are incredible!! The soundtrack is tear-jerking!!! IM SO EXCITED! Well done!," one of the viewers commented. "I think people who were alive when the original was released are more excited than kids and teenagers. But I am crying. Even the trailer is beautiful. I’m bringing tissues to the cinemas," another one read.

The film releases on July 19.
