And here it is! After impressing us with the dreaded gangster avatar in the first look, the makers of Petta have released the second look, which is contrast of the first one. The second look showcases Thalaivar Rajinikanth as a innocent and simple person with a charming smile and a stylish moustache. The white kurta and pyjama gives him a perfect Tamilian look and we must say that Thalaivar can nail any avatar. Talking about Petta, the film is shot in Dehradun, Chennai and Lucknow. It features the ensemble star cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran Bagga, Bobby Simha, Megha Akash, Sanath Reddy and Nawazuddin Siddiqi. As per the leading south portal Ananda Vikatan, the role of the superstar will be the proper mix of a classy and massy hero. He will be a hostel warden in the day but a dreaded don in the night. Interestingly, this will be Rajinikanth's third character as a don after Kabali and Kaala. It will have three action sequences which will definitely be a huge treat for the Thalaivar fans.
Rajinikanth is paired opposite beautiful Simran Bagga in Petta while Bobby Simha and Sanath Reddy are playing sons of Rajinikanth. Actress Megha Akash is paired opposite Sanath. Coming to Vijay Sethupathi, he is playing the lead antagonist in the film. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music of the film. Talking about director Karthik Subbaraj, he recently helmed Prabhudheva starrer Mercury, which was lauded for his out-of-the-box concept.
