Naga Chaitanya starrer Shailaja Reddy Alludu released this week on the festive day of Ganesh Chaturthi and has been doing very well. With mixed reviews from critics, Shailaja Reddy Alludu has turned out to be the biggest ever film in terms of opening day collections for Naga Chaitanya. Directed by Maruthi, Shailaja Reddy Alludu also stars Anu Emmanuel and Ramya Krishnan in key roles. While the film is said to have loads of humour, audience also felt that the potpourri of all elements of a commercial made it a hit with the movie buffs.
Shailaja Reddy Alludu managed to rake in Rs 12 crore which stands as the highest ever opening for a Naga Chaitanya. The Akkineni lad has been going through a lean patch with couple of his previous releases turning out to be duds. However, with Shailaja Reddy Alludu, Naga Chaitanya bounces back in regal style. Shailaja Reddy Alludu released along with Samantha Akkineni s U Turn and despite heavy competition, turned out to be the biggest ever opening day for a Chay film. With such an astounding start on first day, Shailaja Reddy Alludu is expected to only get better over coming days with weekend ahead.
