Paltan is set to hit the screens on September 7
After Border and LOC: Kargil, director JP Dutta completes his war trilogy with Paltan. The makers of this war drama have just dropped the trailer of the film and we must say that JP Dutta is the master when it comes to directing a war drama film. In Paltan, the director has narrated the untold heroic win of Indian Army against China in 1967, when they wanted to capture Nathula, Sikkim.
The trailer features the ensemble cast of Arjun Rampal, Jackie Shroff, Gurmeet Choudhary, Harshvardhan Rane, Siddhanth Kapoor, Luv Sinha, Sonu Sood, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan and Monica Gill. The war sequences look real and the powerful background score perfectly adds the punch to it. Though we can’t stop ourselves to find many similarities with Border in some scenes. But overall, the trailer of the war drama looks impressive and the Paltan looks gritty in their army officer avatar.
Television actor Gurmeet Choudhary, who played one of the pivotal characters in the film said that he took training from his father before starting the shooting. “My father served the army and his motherland for several years. He used to impart training to new recruits,” said in a statement. “So who better than him when it comes to getting trained for my character in ‘Paltan’? It was quite a challenging and learning experience to train under him for two weeks before I started shooting for ‘Paltan’,” he added. Paltan is set to hit the screens on September 7 and will lock horns with Laila Majnu and Drive at the box office. Anyway, have you guys liked the trailer?
