Rajinikanth’s Kaala is shattering records at the overseas box office. The Tamil gangster drama has now grossed over Rs 25 crore in its opening weekend in the international markets. Trade analyst shared the collections of each market on his official Twitter account.

Made on the staggering budget of Rs 140 crore, the film has earned Rs 230 crore before its release through satellite and music rights. Interestingly, after the ban, Kaala has become the first Indian release in Saudi Arabia.  Kaala features Rajinikanth as a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi.

There are some reports, which also suggested that the film has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office but the makers are yet to make the official statement on that. Kaala marks the second collaboration between director Pa. Ranjith and actor Rajinikanth after Kabali. Apart from Tamil, the film was simultaneously released in Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions on June 7.  It also features Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Sampath, Sayaji Shinde and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. The music of the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
