The countdown officially begins! Only 4 days to Rajinikanth‘s Kaala! The gangsta drama is one of the most awaited films of 2018. Finally, the superstar will appear on the big screen. While he plays a gangsta in this film as well, he has given it a massy, local touch this time. He will be playing the Don Of Dharavi. Dressed in signature black kurta and Mundu, the actor looks every bit the leader. We can’t wait to catch Rajinikanth kick some serious ass. From the looks of the teaser and trailer, he is a leader you don’t want to mess with. He is Kaala, a leader who fights to protect! The movie is set for a grand release on June 7th in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Reportedly the film will have a grand release in USA in at least 300+ locations. Kaala is declared to be Rajinikanth’s biggest release in USA. The film also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi.
Kaala will be Rajinikanth’s second film with Pa Ranjith. The last time they came together, they created Kabali in 2016. The movie was based on a gangsta leader who protected Tamilians in Mayalasia. Kabali was one of the most talked about films in 2016. It released in 42 countries in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The movie starred Radhika Apte and Dhansika. Rajinikanth returned to the big screen with a bang after Kochaidiyaan and Lingaa failed.
This time Kaala reportedly will touch upon on a social issue. From the looks of it, the theme might have political implications. Considering Rajinikanth is set to enter politics, will this movie pave the way for a brighter political career?
In other news, Rajinikanth is all set to begin shooting for his next film with Karthik Subbaraj. It’s a dream come true for the young director who ha always wanted to direct the superstar. The movie will also star Vijay Sethupathi.
