Suriya and Mohanlal in one frame - It can't get more awesome.
This has got to be the best news in recent times! Joining KV Anand and Suriya on their next project is a superstar from Malayalam cinema. He not only boasts talent and versatility but also continues to be one of the most commercially viable stars. He might have joined the industry three decades ago but he remains the most sought after actor in the industry even today. We are talking about Mohanlal! The director took to Twitter to confirm the news. This a big deal for all the Mohanlal and Suriya fans out there as two talented actors come together for the first time. We are super excited!
Fans were already kicked about Suriya teaming up with KV Anand because they were coming together for the third time after Maattrraan and Ayaan. Both films fared well at the box office. in fact the latter was one of the highest grossing films of 2009. After delivering two hits, they are set to score a hat trick with their next. Harris Jayaraj will also be joining the duo. The lead actress has not been finalised yet. As per reports the film will take off in the second half of 2018. The team is expected to shoot in 10 locations across the world. We can’t wait to find out what they have in store for us this time. With Mohanlal coming aboard it only gets bigger and better.
As of now, Suriya is shooting for his film with Selvaraghavan – NGK. The movie seems to be about a comrade from the looks of the first poster but no details of the plot have been divulged this far. The film also stars Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. The makers are looking at a Diwali 2018 release. What makes this interesting is that two other big films are looking at the same release time – Thalapthy 62 directed by AR Murugadoss, Ajith kumar’s Viswasam directed by Siva. It promises to be a mega fest with three crackling releases.
