Sanju new poster: Ranbir Kapoor looks as innocent and as charming as Sanjay Dutt from ‘Munna Bhai’

Look how effortlessly Ranbir Kapoor has stepped in Sanjay Dutt’s shoes for a biopic on the actor’s life. It was challenging for RK Jr to take up a role of a character that was as huge off screen as on screen. Sanjay Dutt lived a rather colourful life and it was essential that his fans had an opportunity to witness it all over again. From his super successful days to the times when he was in jail, the journey was engaging and worth telling. We had an opportunity to witness Sanju’s teaser few days back and it was impressive to see Ranbir ape Sanju so effortlessly. There was no one but the Rockstar actor who could have portrayed his character so well in the biopic. Movie’s director, Rajkumar Hirani has vowed to surprise the actors’ fans by unveiling a new poster every day and today it’s his Munna bhai avatar. 

Munna Bhai MBBS was, is and forever will be an iconic role in Sanjay Dutt’s entire filmy career. The name that’s now synonymous with ‘Jaadu ki Jhappi’ was an instant hit with his fans. It was also the last time when we saw Sanjay sharing a screen space with his late father and actor, Sunil Dutt. Ranbir as Munnabhai looks like a spitting image of Sanjay Dutt from the Hirani classic. With the same orange shirt and blue jeans, not to miss the golden touch to his hair, RK Jr looks like an exact replica of the senior actor. With such intriguing looks, the wait till 29th June is only getting tougher. Kudos to the director and actor of course for successfully managing to replicate his different avatars from different years. 

Rajkumar Hirani was always firm that Sanju wouldn’t glorify Sanjay Dutt. He maintains that he told Sanjay that he wouldn’t glorify him in the film and the actor was okay with it. According to reports in DNA, Ranbir’s cousin, Kareena Kapoor Khan was mighty impressed with her little brother.“Who better than Ranbir Kapoor to replicate the life of Sanjay Dutt. I don’t think there’s anyone better than him.” Sanju’s teaser has definitely taken everyone by surprise in the industry. The movie will definitely be a turning chapter in Ranbir’s career.
