The Saamy Square motion poster starring Chiyaan Vikram is out!
We were told that Saamy Sqaure’s first motion poster would be out on May 17th at 6pm. And as promised, it’s here and it’s mind blowing. We are treated to a statue seated on a direction mound flanked by dogs. You can tell, he is none other Chiyaan Vikram who at times is compared to Lord Shiva. All of a sudden, the statue comes alive and cracks his knuckles only to reveal Chiyaan Vikram behind the clay statue, as Saamy. The film has got off to a great start with this crackling promo. We bet fans must be glad that Chiyaan has returned as a cop because he plays the role with such swag and style. And you know what, the first part may have released thirteen years ago, but Chiyaan doesn’t seemed to have aged. Don’t you think?
For those who don’t know Saamy Square is the sequel to the 2003 movie – Saamy that starred Chiyaan Vikram and Trisha. The movie went on to become of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema. In fact movies like Saamy, Kaakha Kaakha paved the way for future cop films. As a pair, Vikram and Trisha were loved. It was no wonder, fans were screaming with excitement when it was announced that Trisha was returning in the sequel. But unfortunately due to creative difference, the actress exited the project. The movie will star Keerthy Suresh. We also revealed to you earlier that Chiyaan Vikram might have a double role to play.
Furthermore, this movie might revolve around Aarusaamy’s son.
The movie’s shooting was going at a brisk pace but owing to the Tamil Cinema Strike, the movie’s shoot came to a halt. The film has now resumed shooting in Nepal. Will the movie wrap up in time for a 2018 release? Let’s hope so! Till then, Chiyaan Vikram is stealing the show in the latest motion poster.
