Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has already started breaking records at the China box office even before its release!

Prabhas and Rana Daggubati‘s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is all set to release in China on May 4, but looks like the film has already created a record at the Chinese box office even before its release in the country. Surprising isn’t it? According to several reports, Baahubali 2 has already raked in $250K through pre-sales and advance booking in China, thereby becoming the number one film in terms of advance booking for all the May 4 releases. As trade analyst and industry tracker – Ramesh Bala revealed to us on Twitter, “#Baahubali2 to open in 7,000+ Screens in #China on May 4th. It has already done $250,000 in Pre-sales. No.1 in advance booking for the New movies opening on May 4th.”

Apart from this, Baahubali 2 has also beaten Aamir Khan‘s Dangal in round one at the China box office, as it managed to garner a larger screen space in the country. However, it could not manage to beat Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Currently, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the widest Indian release in China after it had garnered 8000 plus screens. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (7000 plus screens), Dangal (7000 screens), Secret Superstar (6000 plus screens) follow suit with Hindi Medium completing the top five! With such a massive screenspace, we expect Baahubali 2 to go on a record breaking run and rake in the moolah at the Chinese box office. 

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has broken nearly every record for an Indian film at the domestic and overseas market. But will it now break Dangal‘s lifetime box office collection record (Rs 1300 crore) in China? That’s something we will have to wait and watch.
