Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is due to release on May 25.
Finally, after weeks of wait, the first full-fledged trailer of Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran dropped today. The movie stars John Abraham and Diana Penty in lead roles, playing Indian army officials. The story is inspired by the true events of nuclear testings in Pokhran, India in 1998, but fictionalises the details. The trailer has been well-edited to pique your interest.
History lovers will definitely want to give this movie a watch. Despite having happened not so long back in the past, this brave story about secret nuclear testings is not talked about much. After USA and China, it was India’s turn for nuclear testing. But a US intel satellite was keeping a close watch over India to avoid the same.

So, a team of geniuses took up the task of disguising scientists as a team of archaeologists excavating a site in Rajasthan. Under that garb, they were moving forward towards their aim of nuclear testings. The makers take the intricate premise and weave a fictionalised version of it in Parmanu. From the first look of it, the movie seems to be telling the story in all its glory.

Also, it is commendable that the makers have picked a subject like this that was in a desperate need of being narrated to many who were unaware of the valour and sacrifice of the team that did the job. Parmanu has been directed by Abhishek Sharma, who is known for the eccentric comedy, Tere Bin Laden.

Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is due to release on May 25. The movie is being backed by John Abraham himself, along with KriArj Entertainment and Zee Studios.
