Meet Ranbir Kapoor, in and as Shamshera – watch video

Ranbir Kapoor too joins the period drama bandwagon.

So here comes yet another period drama for your entertainment. Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen as a dacoit in Yash Raj Film’s next Shamshera. Yes, it left us surprised too. All this while, we weren’t even aware that Ranbir will be working in a period drama for YRF. He not only got signed, the makers already got the logo of the film made. The video doesn’t have Ranbir in it for real but you will realise what he will look in the film. From the intensity of the character, we can say he will be pretty savage in it. Among the youngsters, period drama seems to be a favourite genre. Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor all have a period drama each and now Ranbir has joined the fray. Remember Ranveer Singh made a killing out of the genre in last few years… no wonder it looks lucrative to everyone. 

The cast and other details are still known. A few minute before, the existence of such a film was unknown as well. Taran Adarsh revealed that the film, directed by Karan Malhotra, will go on the floors by the end of 2018 and will wrap up by mid-2019. Check out the video right here…

Ranbir Kapoor has an interesting films coming up. There’s the superhero Brahmastra and now, Shamshera.
