Avengers: Infinity War makers reveal the real reason behind it

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is still busy smashing records across the globe. The movie that has already beaten Justice League’s worldwide collection continues to have a dream run at the box office and it deserves it. It was dream for every Marvel fan to see Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy fight in unison against the mighty Thanos. And here it was! Marvel finally presented the Infinity War – one of the most anticipated movies in the history of cinema. Though the film had many unanswered questions and left us with a lump in our throat towards the end, we wonder about the existence of Captain Marvel throughout the film. If Nick Fury ultimately called her towards the end, why did he wait so long for it? It was possible for him to call her before and provide an additional assistance to the superheroes, right? But guess, the makers had a valid reason behind it and they recently revealed the same.

Appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo said that they were waiting for the right moment to savour the first appearance of Captain Marvel. She’s a big Marvel character and a key to defeat Thanos. So her entry or rather the first appearance had to be special. Asked if they ever considered her for the film, Joe replied, “No, we want to save her reveal”. “We also wanted to, it was very important to us to commit… we wanted to commit to this ending very hard,” Anthony continued. “We didn’t want to go past the ending very much.

Captain Marvel will hit the screens in March next year and only then can we get her official introduction. “She will be a part of the MCU at that point,” Anthony added. “And part of the promise of these movies is that they are a road forward for all the films.”
