In Pics: Student of the Year 2 featuring Tiger Shroff and Ananya Padey has officially gone on floors in Dehradun!

Tiger Shroff and Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya Pandey kickstarted Student of the Year 2today (April 9) in Dehradun. The actors along with director Punit D Malhotra and the team of Dharma Productions kicked off the shot with a pooja. Though we could not get hold of a picture of the actors, we did get a photo of the film slate. For those of you who do not know, Student of the Year 2 will be shot at Saint Teresa (Dehradun), the same school where the first part was also shot. Dharma Productions tweeted a picture of the St. Teresa book with the college in the background. They captioned the image is, “STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 – DAY #1 on set. Today, director @punitdmalhotra and his team begin their journey at Saint Teresa’s with @iTIGERSHROFF & the girls.”

While we already know that Tiger and Ananya will be a part of the movie, we still have no clue about the second actress. So who will be the third student? Well several names from Janhvi Kapoor to Sara Ali Khan and Suhana Khan have been in the running, but nothing has been officially announced. However, looks like we will know the final cast pretty soon. As Karan Johar tweeted, “The student journey begins again!!!! #SOTY2 ! The announcement of the final cast on Wednesday the 11th! Watch this space. Break a leg @punitdmalhotra @iTIGERSHROFF @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18 @foxstarhindi.” 

According to reports, the first schedule will be two months long and it will be shot across Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishiskesh. They will then take a break and head to Delhi, where another significant portion will be shot, with the remaining parts being shot in Mumbai and Pune.
