Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have been making headlines for a long time for their upcoming marriage. However, no one from the family has let the cat out of the bag. Many speculations have been doing the rounds for a long time not just about the wedding day, but also the designer wears, the sangeet songs and the venue of the special day. While choreographer and director Farah Khan spilled the beans about choreographing Sonam’s sangeet on National TV, we were the first ones to tell you why they won’t be having a destination wedding. An insider earlier revealed, “Yes, the initial plan was to have a destination wedding but it’s because of Sonam’s grandmother that they decided to change the venue and keep it somewhere close to their residence. Sonam’s grand mom can’t travel that far and the family obviously feels her presence is more important than the destination.” Well, according to the latest reports, the D-Day will be held at Bandra heritage mansion of Sonam’s aunt Kavita Singh (mother Sunita’s sister).

An entertainment portal shares that the special day will take place on May 7 and 8 and obviously it will be a big fat Indian wedding. Moreover, reports state that it will have three different functions at three different venues. If reports are anything to go by, then duo’s sangeet ceremony will be held at her best friend Samyukta Nair’s five-star resort-style hotel, The Leela at Sahar. It is already known that Farah will be choreographing it where father Anil and mother Sunita will be presenting a special act. Not to forget Karan Johar who will be shaking a leg to the title track of Sonam’s film with Salman Khan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Arjun Kapoor will be also performing. The next occasion is mehendi. It will be held at Sonam’s 35-crore luxurious duplex apartment in Sunteck Signature Island building at Bandra Kurla Complex. The apartment, which is spread across a vast area of over 7,000 square feet has a ballroom-like banquet area and it will be held there. Moving to the big day. It will be held at the heritage mansion at Bandra Bandstand near Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat. The 55,000 square feet property is said to have a spectacular pooja room. Excited, aren’t you? Sonam and Anand have been dating for a while now. Anand is a businessman and he resides mostly in London but that doesn’t mean they don’t meet often.
