Rangasthalam box office collection Day 18: Ram Charam’s film grosses Rs 175 crore at the worldwide box office.

Ram Charan's Rangasthalam is officially the biggest hit in Tollywood in 2018.

It’s been 17 days since Ram Charan‘s Rangasthalam hit theatres but the film continues to create waves at the box office. As per the latest update on Firstpost, the film has managed to gross a whopping Rs 175 crore at the worldwide market. It is officially the third highest grossing Telugu film after Baahubali 1&2. It has managed to dethrone Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 to become the third highest earning film. The film right from day one has been setting records – On the first day it managed to earn a whopping Rs 46 crore at the worldwide market, beating even Hindi film – Baaghi 2. The film within four days managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club, thus becoming the sixth fastest south film to enter the prestigious club. 

On the overseas front, the film is creating a furor. It is now inching towards the 3.5 million dollar mark at the US box office. It stands at a whopping Rs 22.06 crore. It is the third highest grossing Telugu film after Baahubali. It has managed to race ahead of Srimanthudu, that held the third position since 2015. After a debacle like Agnyaathavaasi,  The movie has also created records at the Chennai Box office. The movie within a week managed to earn a crore, thus making it one of the highest earning Telugu films in Chennai. The film also witnessed the highest opening for a Telugu film on its first day.

Here’s what our review on Rangasthalam says – Ram Charan will be remembered for his Chitti Babu character for a long time. Rangasthalam has scenes that will stay with you for a long time, especially the bloody fight in the field and the final one between Ram Charan and the main villain. This one is a sure-shot blockbuster.

After Rangasthalam, we have two big films coming up – Bharat Ane Nenu and Naa peru Surya. Both feature Telugu superstars – Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. Let’s see if these film are set to dethrone Rangasthalam to become some fo the biggest hits in Tollywood.
