Prabhas' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion continues to break records!

Prabhas and Rana Daggubati‘s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has broken records left, right and centre at the Indian and overseas market. However, little did we know the film continued its legacy, nearly a year after it was initially released in India. The magnum opus was released earlier this year in Japan and looks like the film has completed 100 days in Japan recently.

For those of you who don’t know, Rajinikanth‘sMuthu is the highest grossing film in Japan with a box office collection of $1.6 million. The film had ran for nearly 180 days in the country when it was released in 1998. Next up is Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots which had raked in $1.48 milliomn in Japan, while Baahubali 2 comes in third with a box office collection of $1.3 million. English Vinglish ($1.2 million) and Enthiran ($1 million) complete the top 5 Indian grossers in Japan. Titled Baahubali: The Triumphant Return of the King in Japan, the audience is enjoying the film’s trimmed version and are raving about it on social media. We are sure, the movie will continue its run, but will it be able to beat Muthuand 3 Idiots? Well that’s something to wait and watch.

Talking about the film’s success in Japan, producer Shobu Yarlagadda (Arka Media Works), told Firstpost, “We are very happy. I think it’s the third highest grossing film in Japan after Muthu and 3 Idiots there. It’s very nice to see a different culture embracing and enjoying our film. Besides box office success, the enthusiasm and love that the Japanese fans have shown are quite extraordinary and exciting. They have been actively sharing fan arts and videos on social media platforms, and their blogs.” With the film continuing its run in Japan, stay tuned to Astarcineplex as we get you all the dope and updates about Baahubali 2: The Conclusion right here.
