Yay! Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone to walk the ramp together at Mijwan 2018 on April 19

We had revealed to you earlier this month how Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were going to walk together at Mijwan 2018. The annual fundraiser organised by Shabana Azmi in support of the movement started by her late father – Kaifi Azmi, was supposed to take place on April 9. But, the show was indefinitely postponed after both Ranbir and Deepika, the showstoppers for Mijwan 2018, fell ill. However, we can now confirm that the duo will finally come together and walk the ramp on April 19.

Ace designer Manish Malhotra has created a spectacular fashion show – The Walk Of Mijwan for the night and you will be able to see the exquisite Chikankari craft by the women from Mijwan (Uttar Pradesh, India) mixed into some contemporary silhouettes designed by Manish in his signature style. Deepika and Ranbir will walk the ramp in some stunning silhouettes crafted by Manish and we are sure they will set the ramp on fire. In fact, we can’t wait to see the duo walk the ramp together. Talking about the show, Shabana Azmi mentioned in a statement, “In the 9 years since the first Mijwan Fashion show, I have received unstinted support from my Film Fraternity. Every one from Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan to Ranveer Singh and Sidharth Malhotra and from Priyanka Chopra to Shraddha Kapoor have walked for us.” Youth President Namrata Goyal added, “The annual Mijwan Fashion Show brings the spotlight on Mijwan and gives us the means to carry on all the work behind the scenes that MWS does- We run The Kaifi Azmi School and Inter-College for girls, The Kaifi Azmi Computer Centre, The Kaifi Azmi Sewing and Embroidery Centre.
