Baaghi 2 box office collection day 7: Tiger Shroff’s film ends the first week with a bang; earns Rs 112.85 crore

Baaghi 2 is a superhit!

Tiger Shroff‘s Baaghi 2 is doing great business at the box office. It has already finished a week at the theatres and has managed to earn a massive Rs 112.85 crore. The trend of the film in the first week has been brilliant. Taran Adarsh revealed the numbers saying, “Fri 25.10 cr, Sat 20.40 cr, Sun 27.60 cr, Mon 12.10 cr, Tue 10.60 cr, Wed 9.10 cr, Thu 7.95 cr. Total: Rs 112.85 cr. India biz.” As you can see, the numbers even on weekdays have been really good. The fact that Baaghi 2 got the widest release with 3500 screens in India, gave Tiger’s film the boost it needed. This is his widest release ever which only worked in the film’s favour. 

Baaghi 2’s insane numbers have also started a debate as to why Munna Michael and A Flying Jatt couldn’t make the cut. Both the films had Tiger playing his strength. The superhero film had him dancing like a dream with some crazy stunts for all to see. Munna Michael was a dance film where he teaches a gangster. It was also laced with action, so why couldn’t these two work their charm at the box office? The answer is simple – the action in Baaghi 2 is something people have rarely seen in films. Also Sajid Nadiadwala had left no stone unturned to give it a massive release. Plus, it’s a part of a series. The first film has been a resounding success. In fact, it had shown much better trend than Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan which had released around the same time. Clearly, there is certain expectation people levy on the Baaghi franchise. Baaghi 2 will easily earn more in this weekend as the films that released are hardly a competition for him. The film could look at a Rs 150 crore lifetime business or more.
