Before you make dash for Avengers Infinity War tickets, here's a quick recap of what is making news in the MCU.

So Avengers: Infinity War is finally here. After making people wait for 6 years for the next from the franchise, the fact that it is finally here is taking some time to sink in. This is one movie which will write the future of our superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What happens to them after this will decide what becomes of the world. This time they are threatened by a villain as powerful as Thanos and they have to put all their strengths together to thwart him. There is a possibility that there will be many deaths in the film which has only made it one of the darkest and emotionally moving film. Not that you need us to tell you what the film is all about but here is something for the uninitiated.

The Story

Avengers will join forces to put an end to the destruction ensued by Thanos and the villain himself to save mankind. But while doing so, our superheros have to be ready to make the ultimate sacrifice if need arises – death! 

The Trailer

The trailer dropped last year on November 29 and since then, fans have stopped seeing the world in the same light. The dark mood, a super powerful villain, stressed out superheroes, screaming superheroes with death looming large… Avengers: Infinity War’s trailer wasn’t the usual. It made it very clear this time, it’s do or die for our favourite Avengers.

Box Office Prediction

Trade is going berserk predicting the score that this film can post on the box office tally. They are looking for a Rs 200 crore lifetime collection for the film which will be a first for any Hollywood production. The Jungle Book had wound up at Rs 188 crore. Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala revealed, “#TheJungleBook is currently the highest grossing #Hollywood movie in #India. It’s Life-time nett box office collection in #India is Rs 184 crore. #AvengersInfinityWar is expected to become the 1st Hollywood movie to do Rs 200 crore nett box office collection in #India.”  Now that’s huge!

Watch or skip?

Going by the first reviews of the film, critics are raving about it. In fact, they have even said that the MCU has finally sorted out their hang up. They are known to keep the villains pretty weaker than the superheroes so that he can be avenged easily. But critics are happy that Thanos gave them a tough fight. So with that in mind, you should obviously watch the film this Friday. For those who aren’t a fan or not into MCU at all, try it out. You might just like it!
