Summer calls for a vacation and looks like our favourite couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharmamight just head out to Sri Lanka to celebrate this season. Yes, Sri Lanka’s sports minister Dayasiri Jaysekera has sent out a special invite to Team India’s captain, Virat to holiday in the island nation. “I am not inviting Kohli to play, but I want him to spend a few days here with his wife, Anushka Sharma. After his marriage, he has not visited this country. The couple can be guests of this nation. There are several good places to see here,” said the minister, who is a great fan of Kohli and had specially also come to see his batting during India’s second Test in August last year.
Now it’s left to see if Virushka will consider this holiday offer or no given that both are currently figuring out their own professional commitments. Where Anushka is shooting for Sui Dhaaga. Virat is prepping for IPL as he had even mentioned during a recent event saying, “Physically, I have a few niggles, I am just getting over those. The workload has started to disagree with me a little bit. I have to be very careful about how I go forward with my body, my mind and my cricket.” Kohli also said that the break is helping him recover for fresh challenges ahead, starting with the upcoming edition of the IPL.
The last time Anushka and Virat had visited Sri Lanka was back in August 2017, just 3 months before they secretly took off to get married in Italy in December. Pictures of them seeding a plant too had gone viral on the internet. We can’t wait to see if the couple takes off for yet another Sri Lankan vacay; especially after their recent cuddly picture that made everyone go aww over the weekend.
