This is going to be no less than epic. Jr NTR and Ram Charan – two of the biggest stars from the South are collaborating with a visionary filmmaker like SS Rajamouli, the same man, who is responsible for the Baahubali frenzy that swept up the entire nation last year. The movie, which is tentatively titled RRR, will be bankrolled by DVV Danayya and is said to go on floors in October. Not many know this, but Ram Charan came on board for this project without even reading the script. You know, exactly like how it used to happen back in the days when there were no contracts and actors would just do the movie by verbally promising the producer and the director. “I believe in Rajamouli. His stories have strong content and are character-driven. I’m yet to listen to the script. Rajamouli promised me he will narrate the script soon,” Ram Charan said on signing the film without even listening to the script.

A video announcing the project was dropped last week and needless to say, fans can’t wait for Jr NTR and Ram Charan to start shooting for the film. Check out the video of the official announcement of RRR right here:

While everyone would expect Rajamouli to outdo his Baahubali films in terms of budget (which was over Rs 400 crore combined for both the movies), that is not going to be the case, we hear. Nevertheless, it will still be made on a scale that both Ram Charan and Jr NTR have not been seen before. Earlier this month, Ram Charan and Jr NTR took a ten-day workshop in Los Angeles. It is during this, they did a photo-shoot with some international photographers. As for the details of this movie, they have been kept under the wraps, obviously, but word has it that it will be an action-based revenge drama. We also hear that this is a boxing-based film and both the actors have been working hard on their looks. And finally when it comes to the leading lady, rumours are rife that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been roped in for this one. There has been no official confirmation on that bit though.
