Prithviraj launches the first look of 9, his maiden production venture.
This is a big day for Malayalam star Prithviraj as he has launched the first look of his debut production project, 9 with a catchy poster. It stars Prithviraj himself in two intriguing avatars that makes wonder us what the film is about. The movie is touted to be a thriller and is expected to go on floors this April. Nine will be helmed by Janeuse Mohamed. Prithviraj’s maiden production is in collaboration with Sony Pictures International. This is surely a collaboration to watch out for in Malayalam Cinema! Prithviraj Productions has been co-founded by the Malayalam star with his wife Supriya Menon. While this will be his first production, the actor is not new to producing films, states a report on News Minute. He was an important part of August Cinema that is known for its content rich films. We all know the rave reviews Indian Rupee received. It even went on to win a Kerala State Award.
Only a few days ago, Prithviraj made the big announcement with an official statement – In more ways than one it’s a landmark event for Malayalam film industry. Sony Pictures, the international behind iconic pictures ramped up its local production with Padman and is now steeping into the small and dense world of Malayalam cinema. What makes this partnership doubly exciting is the nature of the film we are producing. Supriya and I welcome them to the content driven talent pool that is in the Malayalam film industry.
In other news, He has Ranam also called Detroit Crossing coming up. He will also be seen in Aadujeevitham, a film based on a novel. where he plays an Indian immigrant worker in Saudi Arabia. Another upcoming film is My story also starring Parvathy.
