Many Bollywood stars are expected to arrive at Akash and Shloka's post engagement party
Akash Ambani, the eldest son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, and Shloka Mehta, the daughter of diamond magnate Russel Mehta got engaged in Goa over the weekend. The two are back in Mumbai for their post-engagement party, which is happening right now at Antilia. Several Bollywood stars are expected to attend the do. Akash and Shloka posed for the photographers before heading to the party. Katrina Kaif was one of the first guests to arrive at the party. Shah Rukh Khan arrived wearing a classic black suit. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a stunning entry with daughter Aaradhya. Karan Johar and Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao posed for the paparazzi together. Check out the first batch of pictures right here:
Reports suggest that Akash and Shloka will marry in early December. They exchanged the rings during a very private ceremony on Saturday (March 25). Yesterday, Shloka and Akash were seen at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple along with his family. According to PTI, the wedding is planned for early December, with celebrations spread across four-five days, possibly from December 8 to December 12, at a five star hotel in Mumbai.
The Ambanis and Mehtas go back a while. Hence Akash and Shloka are said to have studied together at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS). In one of the few statements from the family, Akash Ambani’s mother Nita Ambani told Bombay Times, “Mukesh and I have given very strong foundation to our kids and even larger wings to fly – they have the freedom to take decisions for themselves and of course, choose whom they would want to spend the rest of their lives with. Marrying the one you love is gratifying and heart-warming. I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts.”
